Federal Financial Group has agreed to pay $200,000 to settle a class action lawsuit that claims the insurance services provider placed unwanted cell phone calls to Missouri residents in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
The TCPA class action lawsuit alleged that Federal Financial Group used an automatic telephone dialing system to place the robocalls between Oct. 16, 2013 through Dec. 21, 2015.
In addition to the Settlement Fund, Federal Financial has also agreed to no longer call cell phones without first obtaining prior express written consent.
Federal Financial Group denies the allegations, however they have agreed to the TCPA settlement in order to avoid the cost of further litigation.
