Mitsubishi LaserVue TV Class Action Lawsuit Settlement

20140508003308

Mitsubishi Electrical Visual Solutions America Inc. has agreed to settle a class action lawsuit stemming over allegations that its LaserVue TV contains a malfunctioning defect.

Lead plaintiff Robert Verdie claims that the “Optical Engine” component in Mitsubishi LaserVue televisions contains a defect that causes video and color anomalies. Verde alleges that Mitsubishi is liable for breach of express and implied warranties as well as violations of California consumer protection laws and the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.

Class Members who purchased a Mitsubishi LaserVue TV that is either malfunctioning or that you spent money on to repair the issue may be entitled to reimbursement under the Mitsubishi class action settlement.

The malfunction covered under the Mitsubishi LaserVue class action lawsuit settlement includes any video anomaly or other issue that interferes with the TV’s normal or intended functioning as described in its original warranty. However, it does not include any cosmetic damages of the TV including the screen and cabinet.
