Professional Cycle Parts Class Action Lawsuit

pcp

A California judge has certified a Class of California consumers who purchased a motorcycle from the Sacramento dealership, Professional Cycle Parts, through the use of a third-party branded credit card.

The PCP motorcycle class action lawsuit filed by Joshua Bohannan claims the motorcycle dealership violated state law by not providing buyers with all the documents and financial disclosures within a single document.

Bohannan alleges that PCP violated California’s Rees-Levering Automobile Sales Finance Act, which is a law that governs the sale of motor vehicles under conditional sales contracts.

The motorsport company argues that the Rees-Levering Act does not govern these types of third-party credit card transactions, therefore no violation of law has occurred.

If you wish to exclude yourself from the California Professional Cycle Parts class action lawsuit, you must do so no later than March 15, 2016.

Who’s Eligible

Class Members of the PCP class action lawsuit include all California consumers who purchased motor vehicles from Professional Cycle Parts between Aug. 12, 2007 and Dec. 3, 2015 for which title would vest in the buyer only upon the payment of part or all of the price, or the performance of any other condition through a contract that fails to state in a single document all the agreements with respect to the total cost and the terms of payment, including without limitation, the applicable interest rate.
